The Discovery Challenge
Members of 2 (City of Dundee and Highland) Signal Squadron are taking part in what they have named 'Discovery Challenge'. This is an event under sponsor to try and raise as much money as possible for Kirsty-Lee.
The event consists of 18 members of the Squadron covering a distance of 491 miles on a combination of Treadmill and exercise bike as fast as they can. The reason for the 491 miles you may ask??
This is to represent the distance covered by the ship RSS Discovery on its last journey on the River Thames in London to its final berthing place at Discovery Quay in Dundee.
The event will take place with the kind permissioin of DW Sports at their gym in the Gallacher Retail Park Dundee on Sat 12 Nov from 0900 untill we finish(hopefully in 8 hours). Feel free to come along and show your support for the lad and lasses taking part in what should be a challenging event.
