        Welcome

Kirsty-Lee (Deploris Murdoch) is a fifteen year old girl who has multiple disabilities.  Her diagnosis is Neuronal Migratory Disorder

Neuronal Migration Disorders (NMDs) are a group of birth defects caused by the abnormal migration of neurons in the developing brain and nervous system. The generic name for Kirsty-Lee’s disability is Cerebral Palsy.  Kirsty-Lee was first diagnosed with this disorder at the age of ten months, along with revolving spastic quadriplegia and epilepsy.

While medication relieves some of the stiffness in her muscles she is totally dependent on others to live her day to day life.  She sits in her wheelchair with support, but she cannot walk, talk, sit up or feed herself. She communicates with her eyes but because of delayed development it is hard to determine her level of intelligence.  Despite this Kirsty Lee is a sociable girl who loves to be in the company of others, watching television and likes to watch the antics of her younger brother.

This website has been built to tell the story of Kirsty-Lee, and share the efforts of her family and friends fundraising activities as they strive to provide Kirsty-Lee with the expensive materials necessary to provide her with even the basic standard of care that many of us take for granted.
